It is one of India’s tallest waterfall having a height of 1017 feet. The falling water looks white as it falls from such a height the reason why its called “Dudhsagar Waterfall” Dudh means Milk in Hindi so its like Milk falling from sky-high fall. The fall is on the Mondovi River on the border of Goa and Karnataka. Every tourist must get a lifeguard jacket from the forest department.
This fort was completed by Portuguese in the year 1606.The fort was constructed to guard against the Dutch and the Marathas. Aguada means water, the fort has a fresh water spring which used to supply water to the army as well as to the ships. The fort is divided in two parts:the upper part was used by the Army and also provided water while the lower served as a parking place for the Portuguese Ships.
On the fort stands a four-storey Portuguese lighthouse erected in 1864.It is visible from kilometers away and pure white in color. The lighthouse was abandoned in 1976.
